The Rev. David Baer was elected as the Stated Clerk of National Capital Presbytery, January 2023.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Cornell University (2000) and a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School (2004). David served as a solo pastor for seventeen years in New Jersey, and part-time as Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of Southern New England for four years, before coming to NCP.
Inviting and equipping others to serve has been a deep source of satisfaction throughout my ministry, both in the congregation and in mid-council work. I look forward to helping the congregations and leaders of National Capital Presbytery use our polity as they move where God calls.
