Eric has experience coaching C-suite media executives, entrepreneurs, and pastors in rural, suburban, and urban contexts. He’s provided group coaching for churches undergoing governance restructuring, taught workshops on building relational capital in Session, led officers’ trainings on leadership covenants, and frequently advises churches on the latest trends in faith formation.
Eric is a husband to Ellen, father of 4 children under age 8, and Associate Pastor at Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C. where he has worked with the church’s Education, Connections, Mission, Youth, and Deacon ministries since 2015. From 2011-2015 he served as Pastor/Head-of-Staff of First Presbyterian Church in the rural town of Defiance OH, and he’s been involved in big and small churches in Joliet IL (his hometown), Bloomington-Normal IL, Michigan, and New Jersey. He’s currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry from Lexington Theological Seminary (MDiv, Princeton Theological Seminary, B.A., Wheaton College). He chairs the National Capital Presbytery’s Transformation Team and serves on the Church Development Committee.
In his free time, he’s usually hauling his family to a museum, festival, zoo or splashpad in the DMV. When the silence creeps into his home around 9pm once the kids are in bed, he reads about organizational behavior, gets passionate about the newest podcast, and dreams about starting a social enterprise.
