Charles K. Barber, Elder, Northeastern Presbyterian Church, Washington, D.C. – Talents/Gifts to Leadership Council: Charles is a lifelong Presbyterian and has served in leadership positions at Northeastern Presbyterian Church since 1990. He served as a Trustee for several terms, including a term as president, and served as a member of the Session for two terms. He is currently serving as Clerk of Session for Northeastern. He has also worked on strategic planning groups related to Northeastern finances and church bylaws, and is a long time member of the Northeastern Celestial Choir. Charles is an attorney who works in higher education. He formerly worked in the Office of the General Counsel at Howard University, has worked at George Washington University since 1996, and how holds the position of Deputy General Counsel. He serves on nonprofit boards related to education and real estate development in the District of Columbia.
