The Global Mission Network is a welcoming community of congregations engaged in global missions and interested to learn more about NCP mission activities.

Join us for bimonthly meetings where we share mission experiences with global mission and zoom with PC USA Mission coworkers and partners. We meet via Zoom.

August Malawi Opportunity:  Rev, Tembo, the General Secretary of the Livingstonia Synod in Malawi, will be visiting US to attend the PCUSA Malawi Mission Network (MMN) conference as the keynote guest speaker and will visit the NCP following the conference hosted by Heritage and Burke Presbyterian congregations. We will hold a special GMN Face-to-Face meeting on Saturday, August 9 at Burke at the usual time of 10:00 am. More information will be sent closer to the event.

Highlights from the June 14, 2025 meeting include:

  • Ukraine:  Burke Presbyterian Church and the Honor Foundation Supporting Ukrainian grass-root Defense Work – Click HERE for presentation
  • Announcement of New Global Partnership Grants and Review of grants so far provided under the Equipping Congregations Committee (ECC) – Judith Dahmann.
  • Update on NCP and Reflections on the Town Hall at the Presbytery meeting   – Tara McCabe/Roland Frenck/Judith Dahmann.

Global Mission Grants continue under the NCP Equipping Congregations Committee (ECC). The Global Mission Network, along with the ECC of the Presbytery has added a third yearly call from Global Mission partnership grants – the next opportunity for grant applications is July 15!

The Global Mission Network (GMN) is soliciting applications for the National Capitol Presbytery (NCP) Global Partnership Grants program from congregations for new cooperative initiatives between congregations and their global mission partners.  Applications will now be accepted three times a year – March 30, July 15 and September 30.

Five grants were awarded from the March 2025 call:

  • Arlington – $5000 – Purchase and delivery of materials to allow local residents to construct freshwater wells in two places in Cameroon.
  • Georgetown – $5000 – The ‘STEAM for Teachers’ (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) project will equip teachers for introducing STEAM in their classrooms in Niger and will include the necessary materials and training through Remember Niger.
  • John Calvin – $5000 – Support sustainability and education objectives of Kisima Child Care Academy (KCCA)
  • Saint Mark – $5000 – The project will help with the purchase of materials to lay the foundation and make significant progress toward the walls and roof for a three-classroom block for Institut Gufwa-Gubila High School in the Congo.
  • Trinity Arlington – $2,810 – VBS program, serving 600 Dalit children (India)
