NCP FACTS

National Capital Presbytery is:

• 108 congregations in covenant, 31,325 members – located in 5 counties in Virginia, 5 counties in Maryland and the District of Columbia

• Approximately 350 teaching elders

• One of 172 Presbyteries in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

• The Presbytery is governed by teaching and representative ruling elders of our congregations who meet six times a year

• The execution of the mission vision set by the Presbytery is overseen by a Leadership Council and various Commissions and Committeesempowered by the Presbytery

• The Presbytery office is located in Rockville, Maryland

We have a staff of 8 people to serve our Presbytery which works to strengthen and transform our congregations to be missional, pastoral and prophetic.
