The Laurel Presbyterian Church (LPC) vision statement, “Whoever you are, there’s a place for you here, where we grow together to serve Christ” is central to our church life. We live out that vision of intentional inclusion in a variety of ways.  Our members and friends include a number of people originally from the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, who play an important role in our worship and governance. We also share our vision for ministry through our long-term partnership with Iglesia del Dios-Laurel (IDL), a Spanish-speaking Pentecostal congregation. LPC is active in the community of Laurel, as shown by our relationship with Laurel Advocacy Referral Services (LARS), which LPC helped found in 1987. Our long-standing relationship with LARS represents our desire to develop a sense of togetherness in our community in caring for people no matter who they are.  We believe God is calling someone to our church to bring a new sense of vibrancy to our community, where people feel called and empowered to engage in ministry appropriate to their talents. We look forward to welcoming a pastor whose passion is to grow a smaller church into a multicultural, multigenerational, openly-loving family of faith in and around our church’s community.
