National Presbyterian Church
4101 Nebraska Ave NW
Washington, DC 20016
For clergy, lay leadership, and member congregations.
Per the NCP Policy Statement on Dismantling Racism (approved March 23, 2021), “attendance for all minister members of NCP and NCP staff is mandatory every three years on a recurring basis.”
Led by Whitney Parnell, CEO and Founder of Service Never Sleeps, these sessions will provide helpful definitions, invitations to self-mirroring, and active ally education involving the CLAIM acronym: Care, Learn, Act, Influence, and Maintain. The workshops teach individuals about the causes of social injustice, how to be effective allies for marginalized communities, and how to actively influence and educate others. Our VIRTUAL time together will include small-group practice with breaks intermittently throughout our learning. Come ready to “try on” the Ally Training strategies from Service Never Sleeps.
