Rev. Tara Spuhler McCabe has served National Capital Presbytery for 25 years. She has served in congregations throughout the presbytery as an Associate Pastor at New York Avenue Presbyterian, Stated Supply at Garden Memorial, Sabbatical Pastor for several other congregations throughout the presbytery, and Ministry Assistant at Faith Presbyterian Church. Tara is trained in areas of church vitality assessments, coaching, community organizing, and change management. A graduate of Agnes Scott College, BA and McCormick Theological Seminary, MDIV, Tara has total faith that in every era and every day, God is doing a new thing and it is our opportunity to participate!
What Tara does:
- Coordinates and updates vitality assessments with congregations.
- Coordinates with other NCP staff members on strategic planning with congregations.
- Supports and coordinates missional trainings for congregations.
- Supports and coordinates NCP Youth Ministry opportunities.
- Oversees the staffing for Ukirk Maryland at the University of Maryland.
