Heather has extensive nonprofit and business experience, holding positions in executive leadership, commercial real estate, and fiscal oversight. Over the course of her career, she has used her understanding of systems development and risk assessment to strengthen organizations as they work to build capacity. She is passionate about the role strong organizations play in building and unlocking communities for their citizens and believes churches play a pivotal role in community building. She holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Springfield.
Heather lives in Bowie, Maryland with her husband, Chris (Pastor at Laurel Presbyterian Church), their daughter Hannah and their two golden retrievers. When not working, she enjoys collecting hobbies, cooking, and cheering on her Tennessee Titans!
What Heather does. As the Senior Director of Finance & Operations and Treasurer, Heather is responsible for conducting financial business on behalf of the Presbytery. This includes overseeing financial reports, property transactions and providing analysis to ensure the overall business health of the Presbytery.
Who Heather resources. Budget & Finance Committee, ACCP (Administrative Commission on Congregational Property), Investment Committee and Stewardship Committee.
