Stated Supply Pastor

Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church, a mid-sized congregation in suburban Fairfax County, is seeking a half-time (20 hrs/week) stated supply pastor to serve for a short, but currently undetermined period of time while the church’s PNC concludes its mission to call a solo installed pastor to lead the congregation. The PNC has identified candidates, is beginning the interview process and would hope to conclude its search in the late summer/early fall timeframe. MVPC will engage the pastor for a six-month period with a contractual provision permitting shortening or extending the contract by thirty days, with the agreement of both parties, should circumstances dictate. The start date for this position would be Sunday, May 3, 2026.
