Senior Pastor

The Senior Pastor will provide spiritual, pastoral, and organizational leadership for Trinity Presbyterian Church. Responsibilities include sharing leadership in worship, preaching, celebrating the sacraments, officiating at weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral services, and partnering with the Associate Pastor in caring for the congregation. The Senior Pastor will work collaboratively with the Session to discern and communicate the church’s vision, moderate Session meetings, provide leadership for strategic planning, and support sound financial stewardship in partnership with the Finance Committee. The Senior Pastor will supervise, mentor, support, and evaluate staff, encourage professional development, recruit and empower volunteers, and foster collaborative leadership among staff and lay leaders. Additional responsibilities include strengthening church communications, participating in the life and governance of the National Capital Presbytery and the wider PC(USA), cultivating relationships with community organizations and neighboring churches, and helping Trinity expand opportunities for mission, outreach, and faithful service.
