Communications Coordinator (Part-Time, 10-12 hours/week, may grow into additional hours)
About Colesville Presbyterian Church

Communication is foundational to CPC’s vitality and growth. We seek an experienced communications professional who can create clear, consistent, and mission-driven communication that fosters connection, shares the Gospel, and invites both members and newcomers into deeper engagement with our community and ministries.
Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Manage and harmonize content across the church’s communications vehicles
- Update and create content for the various ministries of the church
- Create clips from the worship service each week for use on social media, website, etc.
- Produce special event or website videos, reels/shorts, etc.
- Create and produce other online graphics, brochures, and flyers about church programs, and other media as requested
Graphic Design
- Envision and create graphic designs for internal (to the church) and external (to the community) communications
Banners
- Design, purchase, install, and plan schedule for banners and flags in front of church
Calendar
- Work collaboratively with staff and Session to keep all church calendars up to date
- Oversee church Zoom account and platform, create Zoom meeting links as requested and oversee Zoom calendar and schedule
- Oversee Realm church calendar and events and Realm’s interface with Zoom, church Google calendar, website, and social media
Social Media
- Advertise and amplify church events and messages on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, Blue Sky, TikTok, etc. staying within the church budget for ads
- Manage the church’s YouTube channel, including simple video editing on occasion
Website and Marketing/Branding
- Update the church website weekly (at a minimum) including information previewing the worship service and video of the worship service, writing and soliciting website content
- Lead, in coordination with a branding consultant, the church’s efforts to develop a new visual identity, to include a logo
Knowledge Required
- Ability/experience in managing communication networks for small organizations. Church experience is helpful but not required.
- High level of skill, knowledge and ability using various kinds of communications and organizational software, including Canva, Publisher, and Realm
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software
- Experience working with an email list manager such as Constant Contact
- Experience working with the website Content Management System, Wix
- Demonstrated experience in video production and social media management, including creating compelling multimedia content, editing for diverse platforms, and leveraging analytics to drive engagement and expand audience reach
- Experience working with individuals/groups with diverse tech skill levels and needs
The successful candidate will:
- Be flexible, open-minded, and able to adapt to change
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Have excellent writing and analytical skills
- Display an aptitude for digital platforms and media
- Have the ability to work both in a team situation or autonomously
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate $25-35/hr commensurate with experience
- A cost-of-living increase may be available after four months of service.
