Join these four events illuminating oppression, cultural erasure, and resistance as presented by the Pearl Escape Project at Westminster Presbyterian Church, DC.

Feb 19 – The Rosenwald Schools – The Remarkable Story of Collaboration in the Face of Adversity
The story of Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington to support schools for 600,000 African American children during the Jim Crow era

Mar 19 – Why Don’t Women Vote for Women?
A provocative discussion of race, women and supporting women candidates

Apr 15 – Remember The Pearl! (begins at 6:00 PM)
77 enslaved people walked these streets enroute to The Pearl in 1848to escape slavery
