For elders, deacons and congregational leadership.

Per the Book of Order, all councils shall adopt and implement the following policies: a sexual misconduct policy, a harassment policy, a child and youth protection policy, and an antiracism
policy.

Each council’s policy shall include requirements for boundary training which includes the topic of sexual misconduct, and child sexual abuse prevention training for its members at least every thirty-six months.

Workshops offered during Workshop 1 (Choose ONE) AND Workshop 2 (Choose ONE)

• Change and Conflict Management – Change is inevitable and our responses can be driven more out of anxiety and fear. Mange these realities into practices that enable our congregations to thrive and grow. Come away with helpful tools you can use right away.
• Property 101 – Learn how we can steward the resources we have into the resources we want and need to grow in Christ mission.
• Lay Led Worship – Learn how we can support, lead and facilitate a time of worship.
• Polity and Elder 101 – Learn the basics of governance in the congregation and leave equipped with tools to help your church stay focused and faithful.
• Marketing 101 with MissionInsite – “Marketing Your Church” as a follow-up to Elder Lou Durden’s sermon from September’s presbytery meeting

Safe Church Training
**This is for elders, deacons and congregational leadership. This does NOT satisfy the Healthy Boundaries Training as mandated for clergy. There is a separate training for clergy called Healthy Boundaries (look for a training in 2026)**
