Learning to Truly See Your Community

Learning to Truly See Your Community: Pause. Notice. Connect. Respond.
Wednesday, October 14, 2026 | 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
John Calvin Presbyterian Church | 6531 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA  22003

You’re invited to a one-day gathering of soup, art, creativity, community exploration, and shared belonging. Join us for Learning to Truly See Your Community, an experiential day for leaders, neighbors, and community builders who want to practice deeper attention, creative hospitality, and locally rooted care. Through soup making, art, music, conversation, and shared meals, we’ll explore what it means to see our neighbors with the eyes and love of Jesus and to respond with compassion and imagination. This day is designed to help you slow down and pay attention to the people and places around you. You’ll leave with practical, creative ways to cultivate belonging, listen more deeply, and respond to your community with neighbor-love.

Space is limited, and reservations are encouraged. For questions and/or to reserve your spot, contact Brian Clark, Director of the Missional Incubator at bclark@thepresbytery.org

This event is hosted by National Capital Presbytery and Fresh Expressions.
