He will talk about how his faith shapes his work as a Senator and share his concerns about what is happening in the country. He will also suggest some specific issues that Christians should focus on in the year ahead and things we can do to have a positive impact. There will be a time for questions and discussion after he speaks.

DESCRIPTION:With Malice Towards None: Human Dignity in a Time of Political Violence\nFeaturing Tim Shriver & Tom Griffith\nThursday\, December 11 at 7PM \nNew York Avenue Presbyterian Church \nTwo prominent Americans with different political and religious beliefs will come together for a discussion about what needs to be done to reduce the danger of political violence in America. Tim Shriver\, a liberal who is President of the Special Olympics and founder of UNITE\, and Tom Griffith\, a conservative who is a retired federal judge and was previously General Council of Brigham Young University\, will engage in a dialogue about the spiritual and moral values we need to combat toxic political polarization. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. David McAlisterWilson\, President of Wesley Theological Seminary.
