SUMMARY:A Conversation with Jeff Chu
DESCRIPTION:Get your tickets for an evening with Jeff Chu\, author of “Good Soil”\, speaker event! \nWe are so excited to welcome Jeff Chu to Burke Presbyterian Church! He is a teacher\, a speaker\, a sometimes farmer\, and an ordained minister in the Reformed Church of America. While a seminarian at Princeton Theological Seminary\, he worked as a farmhand at PTS’s Farminary. Don’t be deceived. When he got to the Farminary\, a 21-acre experiment in sustainable agriculture that doubles as the world’s best classroom\, he didn’t know anything about farming\, and he had more experience killing plants than nurturing them. But his work there changed him. That land taught him about the story of life\, death\, and new life that God has written into creation. “Good Soil: The Education of an Accidental Farmhand”\, his memoir about his time at the Farminary\, was published by Convergent\, an imprint of Penguin Random House\, in March 2025. \nOn Sunday\, March 15 at 7:00 PM\, he will offer a night of conversation.
