Providence Presbyterian Church (PPC), “Where Life and Faith Connect,” is hiring a full-time Director of Next Generation Ministry (DNGM) to lead our children, youth, and their families as they grow in Christian faith. The DNGM works with church leadership to design, execute, evaluate, and improve programs and special events to support PPC’s ministry to children, youth and families, and is directly responsible for nurturing Christian faith and discipleship in the children and youth of the congregation by fostering opportunities for spiritual development, fellowship, and mission. As the primary administrative staff member for all children, youth, and family ministries, the DNGM identifies, recruits, coordinates, and supervises all adult volunteers to ensure that the efforts of all leaders participating in the ministry are working toward common values and vision for the ministry. Among other duties and responsibilities, the DNGM:
• Aligns the ministry’s activities with the church’s overall mission and vision, such as cultivating an atmosphere of belonging and fellowship; encouraging spiritual development; and identifying opportunities to serve each other and the community.
• Fosters growing participation in, enthusiasm for, and excellence of ministry programs and activities, such as Sunday morning classes, youth group, confirmation, Vacation Bible Camp, or small groups.
• Directly or through volunteers, plans and executes programs and special events.
• Knows the children and youth in the congregation as well as their families.
