Director of Communication and Administrative Ministries (Full time Exempt)

Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church, a 700-member congregation in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Director of Communication and Administrative Ministries who is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, independently and proactively and is able to foster and nurture connections between the ministries of this vibrant church community.
Primary responsibilities include preparing a weekly bulletin and a monthly newsletter, developing and sending weekly emails to the congregation, managing the building use calendar, engaging with church members, building partners and visitors by email, phone and in person, managing the church website and social media presence, and coordinating staff HR functions and the church’s annual report. This individual should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a heart for ministry and pastoral care.

Desired computer skills include Microsoft Office Suite, basic website understanding, desktop publishing experience and the ability to learn database/constant contact and Realm software. A familiarity with Protestant traditions is also preferred. The ideal candidate is someone with strong organizational, written and oral language skills, and a sense of humor. There is flexibility to work from home on Mondays and on Friday afternoons. Ability to periodically be present on a Sunday morning as part of the 40-hour week would be a plus. This individual will work closely with the Senior Pastor and a church staff that is upbeat and creates a positive working environment.
