The Tenth Anniversary of 9-11 - by Henry Brinton

What do you remember about September 11, 2001?
It was an unforgettable, gut-wrenching, world-changing day. We all recall exactly where we were when the terrorists attacked. In terms of national impact, it was a day on par with the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the assassination of JFK, the resignation of Richard Nixon.

This week marks the end of spring semester at Wesley Theological Seminary. As I look back on the past few months of lectures, papers, projects, and readings, I can identify the mysterious way in which my life as a seminarian has dovetailed with my other areas of my life. I can actually see how the Holy Spirit was present in weaving together my life with the classes that I took.

One of the hardest things when parents are dealing with a troubled child is the adage of "keep on, keeping on." Of course we all know that the Bible calls this persistence but the longer the issues go on, there can be a sense of quiet despair.
